Students in Forensic Science are learning about different techniques lab technicians use to test unknown substances found at crime scenes. Here they are using a burn test to identify different salts based on the colors produced.

Monday:
Junior High Girls' Basketball kicked off their season with the start of practice.
Tuesday:
High School Volleyball hosted Bowman County. The Cowgirls improved their record to 23–5 with a 3–0 sweep. The team is currently ranked #14 in Class B.
Thursday:
The first round of the High School Football Playoffs took place. The Cowboys were defeated by Wall, 55–0, wrapping up their season.
Saturday:
Our Cross Country team made a successful trip to Huron. The Cowgirls placed 5th, and the Cowboys placed 6th, together earning the Combined Team Championship.
Also on Saturday, the Oral Interpretation team competed in Custer.
Liam earned 1st place in Humorous. Everlee placed 3rd in Novice Humorous. Will placed 3rd in Non-Original Oratory (NonO). Congratulations to all.

The Cowgirls finished 5th as a team while the Cowboys finished 6th. 🏆
Their combined performance earned the Cowboys and Cowgirls the SDCCTFCA Combined Team Championship. 🥇
Individually, Micah Reede (8th) and Briley Gebhart (23rd) both earned spots on the podium.
Outside the podium, the crew had a few PRs for the season and for their careers!
