The Lemmon School District will be dismissing school at 2:00 today, Thursday, January 26, due to the icy roads and incoming weather. All buses will run at this time. The BBB game w/ McIntosh has been postponed and There will be NO EST, weight room or practices tonight

Gage spent Wednesday and Thursday at the South Dakota FFA District Officer Training in Pierre. He met with his State Representative Neal Pinnow, where he was able to give updates on FFA and hear about upcoming legislation. Gage attended trainings for personal and professional growth while developing leadership skills.

The Chemistry students completed a lab today on Non-Newtonian Fluids, where they made oobleck. Non-Newtonian fluids do not follow Newton’s law of viscosity, as it changes when force is applied.
6th grade Earth Science students create volcanoes based on their research.

Can you outrun a dinosaur? Mrs. Penfield's 3rd graders learned that fossil dinosaur tracks can reveal how quickly dinosaurs could once run. They then compared the length of their own running steps to that of different dinosaurs to determine the winner of a "race". Who won? Well, the third graders hoped that in a real race, the dinos they were competing against were herbivores.

Senior Internship projects--great presentations!!
The Lemmon School District will be closing school at 1:30 today, Wednesday, Dec 21. Buses will run at that time.. All Activities, practices and EST are cancelled.
We are also cancelling school and activities for tomorrow, Dec 22 due to the weather. School will resume on Tuesday, January 3.
