The Lemmon School District will be holding a sale of surplus property on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the old high school by the Ag Shop Garage door. Items will be sold be on a first come, first serve basis. The larger items will have a recommended sale price. All items will be sold “as is” and the buyer is responsible for moving the items that day. Lemmon FFA had a fantastic day at the Land and Range Competition in Wall. The Range team placed 1st and will be heading to Oklahoma in May for the National Range competition! Alyssa Dix placing 2nd, Shannon Gebhart 3rd, Sam Weishaar 7th, Katelyn Gebhart 8th, Blake Drayton 24th, Kelly Lynch 27th, Gage Anderson 32nd. The Land team placed 6th with Blair Ham placing 31st, Brooks Foss 34th, Logan Dreiske 36th, Ehtan Nehl 37th and Emma Barnes 38th. Congratulations Lemmon FFA!
On Thursday, October 6, students in grades 5-12 will be involved with a program called Humanity Launch. This is a half-day program entitled, Interactive Lift Off – Be A Light Retreat.
Interactive Lift Off uses music, games, and a personalized message as the foundation to build a positive community and school culture. Themes in the past have included mental health, initiative and effect, caring and compassion, and passion and perseverance while addressing bullying (including cyberbullying), effective communication, cancel culture, and school pride. 5th grade will attend the afternoon session in the Armory alongside our 6-8 middle school students. The Food Science class has been learning knife safety and about proper chopping techniques. They enjoyed a salad with all the freshly chopped vegetables.
