By shifting food purchasing processes and expanding education and gardening opportunities in our communities via feeding programs in schools, childcare facilities, and summer feeding programs. Farm to School not only benefits children, it also strengthens local economies and enhances the connection between schools and the communities they serve. Our freezer is empty at the school. The spring semester Street Law class visited a court proceeding in February. After court was over, students were able to hear from and talk to the judge, stenographer, prosecution, defense attorney, and the Perkins County Sheriff’s Office. To follow up the visit, Shane Penfield came in to class to discuss what it is like to be an attorney. Thank you to both Shane Penfield, Perkins County Court officers and Sheriff’s Office for always being so accommodating to our students!

“Passions & Professions” took a field trip to Butler Machinery, of Dickinson, ND! They gave our Junior High students a terrific presentation and tour today, spotlighting the many career opportunities available in the Dakotas, Nebraska, and Montana! Butler also highlighted their educational programs, designed to connect students with job shadowing opportunities, work study programs, and college internships/scholarships! Big shout out to local area Butler Sales Rep, Bonnie Wells, for connecting our students with this great experience! #ButlerMachinery
