Meet The Principal

Mr. Steve Bucks,  Principal
Steve.Bucks@k12.sd.us

My name is Steven Bucks, and I’m very excited for the opportunity to serve as the Principal at Lemmon Elementary School. I grew up in Wisconsin, attended college in Mankato, Minnesota. My first teaching position was in McKinney, Texas and then I returned to Minnesota and taught with The Cambridge-Isanti Schools. I have been an educator for 19 years, and for a majority of those years I was a classroom teacher and a Title-I teacher.

While I was teaching in Minnesota I obtained my Master’s Degree from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2007. Recently, I achieved a K-12 Principal Administration License again from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. I am beyond excited to start here at Lemmon Elementary School.

My wife, four children, and I are ready and excited to call the Community of Lemmon home. We appreciate the close-knit atmosphere that Lemmon offers. We have been welcomed kindly everywhere we go, and this affirms that the community of Lemmon is where our family needs to be. I look forward to meeting the families of Lemmon Elementary School.
